BA Games on Tuesday launched a Kickstarter campaign for the company’s debut game: ‘Get That Pirate’s Booty.’ The pirate-themed competitive card game is easy to learn and designed for families and friends with a playtime of just 15-30 minutes. It is poised to make a splash with its unveiling just ahead of the holiday season when game sales often spike.
The Kickstarter Campaign will go until November 13 with first edition games reaching families by Christmastime. BA Games set the price at $25 with a total goal of $5,000. Get That Pirate’s Booty was 88% funded in the first 12 hours after launching. Customers who back the campaign will also receive extra exclusive rewards that they can choose from including a custom-made card deck and wooden treasure chest or the chance the play the game with its inventors.
BA Games founder Braden Astle expressed hope that ‘Get That Pirate’s Booty’ was just the first of many games to come. “This is just the beginning for BA Game CO. We have so many more fun game ideas that we want to bring to life,” he said. “All we need is your support on Kickstarter to bring those idea to life.”
Early players of the game have called it “strategic and cunning,” “fun and easy to learn,” and “addictive.”
